Izrael Destroys Lives and Buildings, But Can Never Destroy Our Life

Members of the media carry imam Sayed Ali Al-Hakim after he spent about a week sheltering in a basement, after a week long assault by izrael to re-occupy Bint Jbeil. Sid-Ali, as he is affectionately called by Bint Jbail inhabitants, belongs to the Al-Hakim family, who have produced Shiaa Scholars for generations. The Al-Hakim's are Sayeds, or descendants of the Prophet Muhammad, and have members living in Iraq and South Lebanon. A large number of them, including a high-ranking scholar and his children, grandchildren, nephews, etc., where executed en mass by Saddam in the mid-eighties, at a time when Saddam was allied with and armed by the U.S.A. and Saudi Arabia.
