"blogalicious" ibj? I bet soon you will be able to look it up in an Oxford dictionary.

Ya Mar, I am, but have been to it only a few times. We were to start spending summers there in our newly built and furnished home. I don't know if it still stands.

ibj, hopefully your family is OK?

yes, many of them lived in beirut or dahyeh anyway, but even they had to zig zag back and forth across Lebanon trying to fidn a hiding place. Bint Jbeil lost many homes and many of its sons, but it has been lifted to the most esteemed and loftiest of places by not giving up its struggle. There are Izraeli soldiers who compared the battle for BJ to the battle for Stalingrad in WWII, where the Germans pummeled it to oblivion but its defenders still did not surrender it.

IBJ, I live in Detroit too. As a matter of fact, I'll be here for two more weeks, moving to the UAE after 8 years if living in Michigan. I am so glad that I found your blog and the Arabicans. Your posts will keep me linked to what's happening here.
